L Catterton verkrijgt meerderheidsbelang in BIRKENSTOCK

BIRKENSTOCK heeft een meerderheidsbelang verkocht aan L Catterton en haar gelieerde ondernemingen, waaronder Financière Agache, de familieholding van Bernard Arnault, de CEO van LVMH.

BIRKENSTOCK is een wereldwijd lifestyle-merk vooral bekend vanwege het iconisch schoeisel. Het familiebedrijf, dat door de zesde generatie wordt geleid, is met 4.300 werknemers wereldwijd een van de grootste werkgevers in de Duitse schoenenindustrie. De transactie is de volgende logische stap voor BIRKENSTOCK om verdere groei in China en India te faciliteren.

Samen met Kirkland & Ellis en Arendt & Medernach heeft Houthoff L Catterton bijgestaan bij deze acquisitie. Het Houthoff team bestond uit Paul de Vries, Willem Liedenbaum, Claire Reynaers, Marijn van Horen, Jessica Terpstra, Lisa Stefels en Philippe Stille.
