Gimv sells share in Dutch healthcare company Equipe

Investment company Gimv sells Equipe Zorgbedrijven, one of the leading providers of specialised care in the Netherlands, to Nordic Capital.

The company was founded in 1995 and is the market leader in hand and wrist surgery and therapy in the Netherlands. In addition, it has a strong position in aesthetic care and has a growing presence in orthopedics, ophthalmology and general surgery. Equipe Zorgbedrijven has approximately 700 employees (130 of whom are doctors) and a network of 30 locations where more than 110,000 treatments were performed in 2020.

The transaction facilitates Equipe's goals to expand internationally, digitally transform the organisation and strengthen its core business.

The Houthoff M&A Team was led by Michiel Pannekoek and included Luke van de Laar, Erik Teijgeler and Daniëla van Noort. The team also included Murat Duman, Jet Stolk, Anouk Boutens, Vera van Erpers Roijaards, Thomas de Weerd and Nicole Bilderbeek.
