DELA acquires Yarden

Houthoff assisted Yarden and its two shareholders (Yarden Association and Stichting Yarden) on the sale of Yarden to DELA. The insurer, the funeral company and all of Yarden's underlying organisations and participations will be transferred to DELA.

With almost 1 million policy holders, 200 volunteers, 900 employees, 65 funeral homes and crematoria, Yarden is one of the largest funeral providers in the Netherlands. With four million policy holders, DELA is currently the largest Dutch funeral provider. The Yarden Association is a strong volunteer organisation that helps people cope with bereavement. After the acquisition, the Yarden Association will continue to exist independently in order to develop into a broad consumer organisation.
