Isabella specialises in dispute resolution with a focus on corporate litigation, class actions and complex disputes relating to commercial contract law. Isabella acts as defence legal advisor for corporate, semi-public and financial institutions with a particular focus on class action litigation, particularly regarding the admissibility of claim vehicles. She has a broad experience in translating in-depth factual and fraud research into legal defence arguments resulting in the inadmissibility of claim vehicles. Isabella is also a business mediator. She specialises in mediations to settle collective damage. Isabella is part of a multidisciplinary team with experts in corporate governance and regulatory and corporate litigation, carrying out governance stress tests to improve and reinforce governance practices. Isabella is a member of the Dutch Association for Procedural Law. She is the author the Class Action Survey, an in-depth survey on the future of class actions in Europe, the US and Israel, and of various other publications, in particular in the area of procedural law and collective redress. She is also a frequent speaker on the topic of collective redress.

Mediation

Isabella passed the Qualified and Certified Mediator Examination of the International Mediation Institute with distinction and is now an IMI Certified Mediator. She is also certified as a Mediation Advocate. With her proven expertise and experience, she can offer clients a broader range of dispute resolution options. Business mediation is often a more cost-effective and quicker way for parties to resolve their disputes.

Isabella teaches mediation as a guest lecturer for master's students at Radboud University. Additionally, she also instructs businesses and law firms in conflict resolution, mediation and mediation advocacy skills. Isabella also serves as a guest teacher at the Academy of Legal Mediation and is member of the mediation legislation committee of the Netherlands Bar.
