Ewoud advises both (institutional) investors and asset managers on the formation, structuring, operation and regulation of a broad range of investment funds (including retail funds (both UCITS and AIFs), real estate funds, infrastructure funds, deep tech funds, impact funds, private equity funds, private debt funds, hedge funds and venture capital funds). He furthermore advises on asset pooling structures, investment management agreements and on discretionary and fiduciary asset management agreements.

Advising DSB on the distribution (and its preparation of that) of approximately EUR 650 million estate surplus to more than 280,000 interest claimants, consisting of former DSB account holders and the Dutch Central Bank (DNB) as administrator of the deposit guarantee scheme.

Advised the Municipality of Amsterdam in relation to the financial restructuring of its 100% subsidiary AEB (Amsterdamse Afval Energie Bedrijf).

Houthoff represented Sligro Food Group on the sale of its foodretail business EMTÉ to a consortium formed by foodretailers Jumbo and Coop as well as the separate real estate transaction for 27 store locations. The EMTÉ business is integrated into the businesses of Jumbo and Coop respectively.
