Houthoff welcomes Etiënne Dijkhorst as counsel at Real Estate

6 January 2025

On 1 January 2025, Etiënne Dijkhorst (39) joined Houthoff Amsterdam's Real Estate practice group as counsel. He has almost 15 years' experience with major real estate transactions and development and redevelopment projects, as well as with international M&A deals, generally with a substantial real estate component. Before joining Houthoff, Etiënne worked for a year and a half at NewGround Law, a real estate boutique firm. Prior to that, he was affiliated with De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek for 13 years.

Etiënne's extensive experience in international real estate transactions and advising major Dutch pension funds, multinationals and PE firms will further strengthen and diversify our practice. We are pleased to expand our team with an energetic and astute candidate civil-law notary with a proven track record in client representation in real estate transactions and developments. Etiënne has been the go-to adviser for Bouwinvest and Klépierre for many years, and more recently, also represented Ahold and Amvest. During his time at De Brauw, he was seconded twice to Bouwinvest, a renowned real estate party with operations in the Netherlands and abroad.

Etiënne: "I am proud and happy to be joining Houthoff. The firm's strategy and culture and its Real Estate practice's excellent reputation really appealed to me. The real estate market is very dynamic at the moment, driven by the energy transition and demographic developments. I look forward to advising clients in that area. It is wonderful to be able to do this with Houthoff's large group of enthusiastic experts."
