De Goudse Verzekeringen, a Dutch insurance company, intends to cement its market position by taking a 35% stake in glass insurance company Midglas.

Midglas is a leader in this niche market. Aside from this insurance company, facility services provider De Glaslijn will also be part of the proposed transaction. The intended stake in De Glaslijn will also be 35%. The acquisition is subject to the approval of De Nederlandsche Bank.

Houthoff is advising De Goudse Verzekeringen. The team is headed by Guillette van Grinsven and Berry van Wijk and also includes Britt Oerlemans, Gijs Hamelijnck, Jet Stolk, Roland de Greef and Myrthe Prinsze.
