Class Action Seminar 2019
Update 25 september 2024
Five years after our first Class Action Survey, we have once again partnered with 11 other law firms to investigate the key trends in class actions in 12 leading jurisdictions. Download the Houthoff Class Action Survey 2024.
October 2019
The topic of class actions is high on the agenda of many national and international legislative bodies and corporations. Developments in this area happen quickly. Policymakers and businesses must consider how these developments will affect the European legal landscape and what the legal risks might be.
Houthoff has researched the most important trends in the field of class actions in a number of leading jurisdictions by interviewing experts and practitioners in these jurisdictions and asking them for their views on current and future developments. These jurisdictions include the Netherlands, England and Wales, France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, the United States and Israel. The results of this research provide an insight into what we can expect in the future and what businesses need to prepare for.
The results of the research were published on 12 September 2019 in a seminar at Houthoff's office in Amsterdam. During this seminar, these 13 experts gave a 360-degree perspective on the latest state of affairs in the 8 researched jurisdictions:
